I live with my wonderful wife near the Suffolk coast in England. I became a Christian in 1986. I commenced work for Scripture Union in 1990, this was in schools work and took me all over England. I trained as a lay reader in 1992; when my ministry as a lay reader began, I received news that I was selected to be trained for ordination in the Church of England, this started in 1995.
My ministerial work was predominantly as Associate Minister at Wennington Parish Church in Essex for 6 years. When I retired from my ministry in Wennington in 2014, I became a regular guest minister at St John’s Church in South Hornchurch for the next 3 years. During my time as a minister, I developed strong evangelical beliefs and took a charismatic approach to the return of Jesus Christ.
A dear friend of mine, Bill, we used to visit Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch on a Sunday lunchtime to listen to the jazz music (I went straight from Church). Bill was not a believer, and we never discussed my faith. Bill was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the spine. He went into a local hospice. While he was there, I was sent a photograph by his wife, of Bill in a chair being lowered into a pool of water to be baptized with a marvelous smile on his face. Some of his last words to his wife, were to let me know, ‘that this is because Keith never kept on at me about how his Christian faith made him act and behave, he didn’t have to say anything, Keith just lived it’. Bill gave his life to Christ a week before he died. I look forward to meeting up with him one day.
It is with immense pleasure that I baptized my first wife, Trish, in 1989 and then many years later on Easter Sunday 2018, I baptized my second wife, Josephine.
Over the years, I have been told that I have a gift from God as passionate and vibrant preaching style which has held many a congregation in anticipation as I delivered God’s Word.
I have had the pleasure of writing my first book, 'I shall return', in obedience to God's will.
I Shall return
